Let’s face it, Women get a lot more freedom in what they can wear and how to wear it when it comes to formal wear. For men, it is the suit, the shirt and the tie that rules. However most men use this as an excuse to be lazy when dressing for work should not be so dull and restrictive. Even those men that go out and buy high quality suits and silk ties, often miss those important details like their cufflinks.
The problem is that because cufflinks are so small and often fiddly, many men overlook them. However I am sure you know that one of the first things women check out are men’s shoes as they know it is the details that count, so you can be sure that if she checks out your shoes, you can also be sure she will also notice other details too.
So if you have spent the time and effort on getting yourself the Armani suit and Versace tie, but you wear it with a dull, button down shirt it really does not cut it. If you have spent that much time and effort on your designer clothes you really need to ensure you finish it all off is with a quality shirt and secure those French cuffs with a nice pair of designer cufflinks?
The good news is that the big designers have realized this and now produce their own ranges of cufflinks to accompany their suits and ties and some of them are amazing. So be sure that once you start looking through those fantastic suits from Ralph Lauren or Hugo Boss, you make sure you also cover the details. If you are in one of the larger department stores and are unsure, the staff will be more than happy to talk you through which cufflinks will go with the suits you like.
In fact one of the things I like to do when I buy a suit is get a selection of shirts, ties and cufflinks together than work as an outfit. This small amount of effort when you get your clothes ensures that your clothes will look fantastic and do not have to think too much about what to wear each morning when recovering from…whatever you were up to last night! Since most men do not even get as far as thinking about this, you can be sure you will pick up those style marks.
So the moral of this story is, there is nothing a woman likes more than seeing a well dressed man…well almost!
